Fool For Love 15th Anniversary Celebration!

Fifteen years ago, on November 14, 2000, we were introduced to the origins of the Big Bad. After being originally introduced to Spike in the episode “School Hard,” we finally learn the poetic origins of our tragic hero. In the space of one hour of television (less minus commercials), we learned that the character that we had known as the bad a$$ vampire capable of love was originally a love sick poet. The emotions portrayed by James Marsters in this episode range from tender to passionate, dangerous to protective, and heart broken to compassionate. The final scene on the porch comforting Buffy was the scene that made most of the rest of their relationship possible and then difficult to accept how it played out.

Love this episode so much. This is why James Marsters should be on every show on television. 🙂

  2. Deb says:

Can’t agree more! A true master at the craft and brings everything to what he does. He still has to hit his peak and really want to see more stuff from him.
